Do you get more writing done when you're online, able to brainstorm with your friends, research a quick fact, or use Write or Die? Or do you end up spending too much time blogging or playing games on Facebook? (I can distract myself just fine without the Internet, thank you.) Feel free to leave a comment. Just don't be surprised if I save my comments for the evening.

The internet is my arch-enemy. I spend hours and hours on it -- just look where I am now!
I actually bought Write or Die so I could use it with the internet switched off. I love it.
Short answer: both.
Excellent research to be found about almost anything you can imagine, and you can tour locations without traveling anywhere. On the other hand, there's just so much fun stuff out there that sucks your time.
Ryan--I used Write or Die during NaNoWriMo last year, but I should make it a regular habit.
David--Yes, it's definitely both for me too.
