Science of the Week, 3/16/18

I don't think there's much science news that can top the death of Stephen Hawking this week, although the news that space travel has long-term effects on gene expression might come close. Here are some of the other most interesting science news articles I read this week:

Bacteria-hunting virus fished from Connecticut lake treats infected doctor

Trauma and dementia patients give hope by "flashbulb memory" breakthrough

The "architecture of life" described by computer modeling

How brightly colored spiders evolved on Hawaii again and again...and again

How to make space molecules

Large-scale scientific investigation needed to combat fake news

Smelling sweetheart's sweaty shirt may lower stress

"Lazy lawn mowers" can help support suburban bee populations and diversity

Have a good weekend, and I'll see you on Monday!

  1. I want a lazy lawn mower but only if it works and I get to be lazy.
