Sue posted this on her LJ, so I thought I'd try it here and see what kind of responses I get...

OK Sandra, since you were brave enough to post this very dangerous post...
ReplyDeleteDo you feel you have your life planned, or do you feel you let life lead you where it will?
How close do you feel your life is to what you foresaw in the past, and what’s your biggest disappointment?
Umm…paper or plastic? And why?
Thanks for responding, Russ; I was wondering earlier if I'd have to have my evil twin ask questions... ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I was more of a planner when I was younger and didn't know any better. These days, sure I plan ahead, but I know full well life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. (Yes, that's a gratituous Lennon reference.)
As for my life being what I foresaw in the past...it is and it isn't like what I predicted. I'm married to Eugene, but it happened a lot later than I thought it would, and I'm a scientist, but not in the position I always thought I'd be in (university research, not commerical). My biggest disappointment would be not getting a Ph.D. in science--I think about getting an advanced degree from time to time, but I don't want to go back to school anymore either.
It used to be paper, but now it's plastic. That's what Jewel carries, and at least they take back old bags; the bags multiply so quickly they make rabbits look sterile.
Did you post this on your own blog too, BTW?
