In one book, we found out later he had died, but we didn't get to experience it directly, and the book went in a different direction afterward. Considering the romance between this character and the heroine was the major focus of the back cover blurb, I felt a little cheated by this. In the second book, a viewpoint character is captured by Chinese police and never heard of again. This is the first book in a trilogy, so maybe he'll return. But even though that subplot had served its purpose for the overall plot, it still didn't feel resolved. Or maybe it's just that I wonder if we really needed to spend so much time on that subplot to begin with. We'll see what happens in the next two books.Sandra Ulbrich Almazanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15365908651235829765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18714294.post-31095408828360975172010-06-01T19:06:00.802-05:002010-06-01T19:06:00.802-05:00I do not mind as long as they die spectacularly.I do not mind as long as they die spectacularly.Barbara Ann Wrighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01751427987081847906noreply@blogger.com
